Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities plan to mobilize an additional 160,000 citizens to fight Russia's invasion, it said.
The plan to recruit an additional 160,000 people for repelling Russian attacks was confirmed by Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko, referencing a speech by Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
Lytvynenko noted that this mobilization would allow for 85% of military units to be fully staffed. In total, 1,050,000 people have already been recruited into Ukraine's defense forces.
Just yesterday, the Pentagon confirmed the presence of North Korean troops in the Kursk region.
Meanwhile, CNN reports a small number of North Korean soldiers in Ukraine, with earlier Pentagon reports confirming their presence in the Kursk area, and their numbers on the Ukrainian front could range from 3,000 to 12,000.
The South Korean news agency Yonhap states that confirmation of CNN's reports could pose a serious threat to security in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.
According to the Financial Times, the North Korean army is still about 50 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
