„We extend our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a swift recovery to the injured” - it emphasized in an official message shared via social media on Sunday afternoon.
„An attack on civilians on Palm Sunday shows that Russia’s goal is not peace, but the destruction of the Ukrainian nation” - the statement added.
“I just want to say how appalled I am by the latest spate of Russian attacks on Ukraine,” Poland's top diplomat Radosław Sikorski said on Monday during a meeting with reporters at the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg.
“Ukraine unconditionally agreed to a ceasefire over a month ago. The heinous attacks on Kryvyi Rih and on Sumy is Russia's mocking answer,” Minister Sikorski noted.
“I hope that President Trump and the US administration see that the leader of Russia is mocking their good will, and I hope the right decisions are taken,” added the head of Polish diplomacy.

At least 34 people were killed and more than 100 injured in a Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy (located in the country’s northeast near the border with Russia) on Palm Sunday, a major Christian holiday that marks the beginning of Holy Week and is also observed by Orthodox Christians.
The current situation in Ukraine was among the key topics discussed at Monday’s meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, which was attended by, among others, Poland’s Foreign Minister.
