Polish PM warns of “Russian interests” ahead of election, criticizes Trump-Zelensky feud

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk accused unnamed political forces of advancing “Russian interests” in Poland, warning voters that the stakes in this year’s election are higher than ever.

“A free, sovereign Poland in a strong Europe or Russia. Your choice,” Tusk wrote on X.

Tusk’s post followed an unprecedented clash between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on Friday.

Trump and Vice President JD Vance scolded Zelensky for his “lack of gratitude and respect,” cutting short their meeting and scrapping a press conference.

A planned deal on Ukrainian minerals also collapsed, fueling concerns that U.S. support for Ukraine in its three-year war against Russia could waver.
