The gang ran a laboratory in the attic of a building, while a firm producing tombstones operated on the ground floor, said Andrzej Fijołek, a spokesman for police in the eastern city of Lublin.
The firm had links to a company providing funeral services, and employees of the latter were also involved in criminal activity, public broadcaster Polish Radio reported.
Fijołek said that investigators had no information as to whether drugs were transported in funeral processions.
Officers detained four people. They also seized 30 kilograms of mephedrone, 200 litres of a suspicious substance, and several hundred litres of chemicals.
