Poland's health Ministry has reported 10,788 new coronavirus infections and 269 more deaths related to COVID-19.
Of the new cases most were in the central province of Mazovia, with capital Warsaw (1542); followed by Silesia (1344) and Greater Poland with Poznań (1215).
The highest number of fatalities during the fourth wave of COVID-19 in Poland was reported on Wednesday, December 22 - 775 deaths altogether.
The country's total number of fatalities during the pandemic now stands at 94,311. The total number of cases is 4, 043 585. The Health Ministry reported that 20,916 people remained hospitalized with COVID-19, including 2,046 on breathing support. 339,489 are quarantined.
