As we reported throughout the day, the Russian Ambassador to Poland, Sergiy Andreev was frustrated in his attempt to lay a wreath at the monument to Soviet soldiers in Warsaw today.
Euromaiden protestors surrounded the Soviet monument with "graves" of Ukrainian victims:
A "sea" of Ukrainian flags and "gravestones" of Ukrainian victims surrounded the Soviet monument, blocking the Russian Ambassador's access.
The Ambassador was left unable to place a wreath at the monument:
Russian wreath unceremoniously left on the floor
Another banner claimed the Russian Ambassador's presence was a "profanation":
"The presence of Russia's official representative in this place amounts to a profanation of the graves of soldiers fallen in World War II"
