The Russian Ambassador's failed attempt to lay a wreath honouring Soviet soldiers was turned into a powerful statement against Russia's war on Ukraine.

As we reported throughout the day, the Russian Ambassador to Poland, Sergiy Andreev was frustrated in his attempt to lay a wreath at the monument to Soviet soldiers in Warsaw today.

Euromaiden protestors surrounded the Soviet monument with "graves" of Ukrainian victims:

The Ambassador was left unable to place a wreath at the monument:

Another banner claimed the Russian Ambassador's presence was a "profanation":
