Janusz Cieszyński announced the plan on the X social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday, the bankier.pl website reported.
The digitisation minister wrote: “In the next term of office, we intend to expand the mObywatel app to include a new feature, provisionally called mTV.”
Cieszyński added: “Under this new feature, the mObywatel app will stream sports events, as well as digitised works of Polish culture. Publicly-funded music will be made available also on the mObywatel app.”
The digitisation minister stressed that “in the coming decades, technological development will be the basis of growth.”
Poland is set to hold its latest parliamentary elections on October 15.
Poles will head to the ballot box to elect 460 new MPs and 100 senators for a four-year term.
The ruling conservatives Law and Justice (PiS) and its government coalition allies have maintained a clear lead over the opposition in most recent surveys, polling ahead of the Civic Coalition (KO) and the far-right Confederation group.
The ruling conservatives in 2019 won a convincing victory over opposition parties at the ballot box, securing a second term in power.
