Ambassadors from 20 countries arrived in Racibórz on Saturday, and since Friday, they have been touring Upper Silesia, south-eastern Poland, as part of a visit organized by Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński.

The ambassadors began their tour at the Silesian Parliament building and also visited the economic zone in Gliwice. Having ambassadors from all over the world come to us is good and, I hope, also enables us to establish economic contacts since we would like to attract investors from around the world. There is also a cultural and touristic aspect. We will show our guests the natural and cultural values of this region. The plan includes meetings with Rural Women's Circles. We are proud of our traditions and customs that accompany us to this day," said Jabłoński.

Hungarian Ambassador Orsolya Zsuzsanna Kovács drew attention to the potential practical effects of the visit.

"During our three days in Silesia, we will gain a great deal of insight into economics and culture. Usually, such visits result in taking actions, including economic ones. There is no doubt that this region is dynamically developing. We should also encourage companies from our countries to engage in economic and tourism activities", the diplomat said.
