Nausėda on Sunday announced his re-election in the second round of a presidential ballot, following a campaign dominated by security concerns amid Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine, news outlets reported.
Duda said in an X post: "I congratulate my friend Gitanas Nausėda on his victory in Lithuania's presidential election. I am glad that we will be able to continue our excellent cooperation."

Preliminary results from electoral officials showed Nausėda winning nearly 75 percent of the runoff vote, against around 24 percent for Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė from the ruling centre-right Homeland Union party, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Lithuania, a European Union and NATO member next door to Russia, has been a staunch ally of Ukraine since Moscow's 2022 invasion, the Reuters news agency reported.
