This follows his meeting with South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-Sik.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Defense's Representative Center, the two officials discussed enhancing cooperation between the Polish and Korean arms industries, particularly focusing on the acquisition of equipment for the Polish Army.
Kosiniak-Kamysz highlighted that the upcoming contracts will likely include an executive contract for the delivery of 180 K2 tanks. This is in addition to the ongoing implementation of the first contract for 180 tanks, part of a larger framework agreement for a total of 1,000 K2PL tanks.
The Polish defense minister also emphasized that the ultimate goal is for these tanks to be manufactured in Poland. He announced that some of the tanks from the new contract, expected to be signed in September at the International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO arms fair in Poland’s Kielce, will be produced in Polish plants.
