The operations involve the rotational deployment of 8,000 soldiers and police officers.

"The construction of the border wall, round-the-clock work by thousands of officers from various services, the purchase of equipment, and the maintenance of several centers for illegal migrants—protecting the Polish-Belarusian border is becoming increasingly expensive," the newspaper reported, citing recent information from Politico.

The publication also noted that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk recently informed EU leaders that "Russia and Belarus’s use of migrants as a tool is costing Poland 600 million euros annually," equivalent to over PLN 2.5 billion.

The figure was confirmed by Czesław Mroczek, Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration, who told Rzeczpospolita: "It’s a true amount. The ongoing maintenance of security at this border is becoming more costly."
