Poland's top diplomat Radosław Sikorski and his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti signed an agreement on cooperation between the diplomatic academies in the two countries, according to the Polish foreign ministry.
"This will expand opportunities for exchanging experiences, knowledge about our countries, and perspectives on the international environment," Sikorski said.
The Polish foreign ministry said the talks focused on bilateral relations, security issues and Tunisia's cooperation with the European Union.
Speaking at a news conference after the talks, Sikorski said that Poland and Tunisia enjoyed strong cooperation in tourism.
Poland has become the second-largest market for Tunisia's tourism sector among EU countries this year, he told reporters.
"Our agricultural sectors are also well aligned: we need Tunisian olives, and we believe Tunisia could benefit from more Polish potatoes and cherries," Sikorski added.
"We exchanged assessments and opinions on the current global situation and reaffirmed our strong commitment to ensuring regional security and stability," he announced.
"This includes addressing challenges in Europe, amid Russia's ongoing aggression in Ukraine, and in the Sahel region, which faces political instability, terrorism, illegal migration and the activities of foreign mercenary forces, including the former Wagner Group," he said.
