Speaking to broadcaster TVN24, Duszczyk was responding to Friday’s clash between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which ended with no deal on exploiting Ukraine’s mineral resources.

“This is introducing a transactional element to politics,” Duszczyk said, noting that while transactional policies can be understandable in areas like trade, “here we know who’s right and who’s wrong—there’s not much room for relativism.”

Duszczyk credited a broad international mobilization in support of Ukraine, initially led by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Sejm Speaker Szymon Hołownia, and other European leaders, calling it “the correct response.” But he added that given the “transactional” tendencies now on display, the time has come for Europe “to unify and become stronger.”

On Friday, Trump and Zelensky abruptly ended their White House meeting in a dispute. CNN reported that Trump cut the talks short and asked the Ukrainian delegation to leave, canceling a planned joint press conference and leaving the resource‑exploitation deal unsigned.
