After the govenment closed cemeteries over All Saints' and All Souls' days, when Poles traditionally visit graves with flowers and candles, Warsaw city authorities decided to help stall owners who had been left with unsold chrystanthemums.
There are six additional locations where the traditional potted plants can be sold, most located near big shopping centres.
Similar campaigns to buy the flowers and help sellers nationwide have been launched on the internet.
Meanwhile PM Morawiecki has promised that traders who suffer losses in connection with the closing of cemeteries will be entitled to compensation.
