The national flag was lowered to half-mast during a ceremony at the presidential palace in Warsaw on Wednesday in honour of the medics.
In a speech, Duda said that in the past year 138 doctors and the same number of nurses had died, as well as 19 midwives, 19 paramedics, 19 dentists and 12 pharmacists, in addition to other staff including laboratory diagnosticians.
Duda added that the health professionals "served in the battle against the coronavirus, and in the line of duty … they gave their lives."
The ceremony to honour the dead took place on World Health Day.
Poland on Wednesday reported 14,910 new coronavirus infections and 638 more deaths, bringing its total number of cases during the pandemic to 2,471,617 and fatalities to 55,703.
