UPDATE: Swathe of sites in Warsaw evacuated after bomb warnings

Around 40 sites in the Polish capital including court buildings were evacuated on Tuesday after emailed warnings that bombs had been planted there, state news agency PAP reported.

All the sites were being searched by police, PAP added.

Staff were evacuated from buildings including those of Poland's central audit office, the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal in Warsaw and the National Council of the Judiciary.

Wiesław Johann, deputy head of the National Council of the Judiciary, a body tasked with selecting judges, said after police checks: " It turned out that there was no danger."
