In other new restrictions, cultural institutions, churches, sports centres, hotels and restaurants across the country will only be allowed to be half full from December 1 to December 17, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski told a news conference on Monday.
The limits will not apply to vaccinated people, he said.
Niedzielski told reporters last week that the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic was expected to reach its height in Poland in early December, with up to 35,000 daily cases.
