Poland's defence minister Mariusz Błaszczak was welcomed as he opened the event with an aerial display including Korean FA-50 light combat aircraft.
This year's event features aerial acrobatics by other Polish army aircraft, including F-16 fighter jets, MiG-29 fighter jets, as well as the Su-22 fighter bombers and military helicopters.
Planes from Belgium, Denmark, Greece, the Czech Republic and Finland also take part in this year's air show.
This year's edition places a renewed emphasis on defence following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has prompted Poland, among other countries, to increase military spending.
Also on display is state-of-the-art weaponry recently purchased by Poland, including US-made Patriot air-defence systems, K2 Black Panther main battle tanks from South Korea and the American-made HIMARS rocket launchers, as well as Polish-made Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles.
Meanwhile, on Sunday morning the public will be able to watch a plane race against a Formula One car.
The 2023 Radom Air Show takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
Polish Radio is a media partner of the event, providing extensive coverage of the air show throughout the weekend, while also using social media and a dedicated website.
