Polish women shine bright. Four times more medals than men at Paris Olympics
Following Daria Pikulik's silver medal win, Tusk highlighted that Polish women won four times as many medals as their male counterparts at the Paris Olympics. “Polish women showed us how to fight! 8 medals for the women, 2 for the men,” Tusk posted on X.com on Sunday.
Among the 211 Polish athletes at the Paris Games, a total of 10 medals were won - one gold, four silver, and five bronze - placing Poland 42nd in the global rankings.
Donald Tusk, addressing the Polish Olympians, emphasized that everyone should be immensely proud, referring to the athletes as 'heroes' in his speech.

Minister Sławomir Nitras also participated in discussions with the Polish Olympians and pledged on social media to address all reported issues of neglect related to the shortage of coaches, physiotherapists, and equipment.

Minister Nitras has already requested information from the President of the Polish Olympic Committee, Radosław Piesiewicz, about which sports association representatives traveled to Paris at the state's expense, according to the Information Agency Radio (IAR).
