Polish FM to visit Croatia, Malta

Poland's Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau is scheduled to visit Croatia and Malta this week for talks with top officials in these two countries.

On Wednesday, Rau will meet with his Croatian counterpart Gordan Grlić Radman in Zagreb, followed by talks on Thursday with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and parliamentary Speaker Gordan Jandroković, the Polish foreign ministry said in a statement.

On Friday, Rau will travel to Malta to meet with President George Vella and Foreign, European Affairs and Trade Minister Ian Borg.

While in Malta, Poland’s top diplomat will attend the official opening of the Polish embassy in Valletta and lay flowers at a plaque commemorating Polish navy sailors who were killed off the coast of Malta during World War II, according to the statement.
