He shared a video explaining that Poland played a key role in formulating a joint statement opposing Israel's actions against the UN peacekeeping force.
Countries like the UK, France, Germany, and Italy also called for Israel to immediately cease attacks on peacekeeping forces in Lebanon.
Sikorski clarified that 34 nations, including several Security Council members, collectively protested against Israel, asserting that the bombardment of the contingent is unacceptable.
As we previously reported on Radio Poland, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has around 10,000 peacekeeping soldiers, including 250 from Poland, stationed in Lebanon. Established in 1978, UNIFIL's primary mission is to monitor the Israeli-Lebanese border and promote regional stability under a Security Council resolution.
