After their talks at the Presidential Palace, the two leaders are expected to address the media.

The politicians are expected to discuss alliance cooperation, Turkey-EU relations, and bilateral ties. It is also rumored that the issue of defense procurement, with Poland planning to purchase defense equipment from Turkey, will be on the agenda.

PM Tusk and Turkey's president hold talks

Just before departing for Ankara, the head of the Polish government emphasized that his visit to Turkey is crucial, particularly for Poland's interests and the security of its citizens.

Polish PM also highlighted the importance of discussing Poland's and Turkey's joint efforts to ensure peace and long-lasting stability along the Russian-Ukrainian border. Turkey had previously signaled the possibility of sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine.

Tusk’s last visit to Turkey was in 2010, and the most recent high-level Polish visit to Turkey was in 2021, when President Andrzej Duda signed a deal to purchase Turkish Bayraktar drones.
