It is on view on the fence of the Polish embassy in the UK capital, 47 Portland Place, until the end of the year.

The event celebrates the centenary of the re-establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations after World War I.

The British were among the first to send their support for the newly independent Poland, which emerged in November 1918. Diplomatic relations between the UK and Poland were officially renewed in July 1919.

Among the photos on display are those featuring the signing of the 1940 military agreement between British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the prime minister of the Polish government-in-exile, Gen. Władysław Sikorski; a speech in the Polish parliament by Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Poland in 1996; and more recent events such as a 2017 visit to Poland by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and last year’s intergovernmental consultations in London attended by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Britain’s Theresa May.

A similar display is set to open in Warsaw on Wednesday, on the fence of the Royal Łazienki Park across the street from the Polish Prime Minister’s Office.
