Denys Shmyhal made the announcement at a briefing in Warsaw on Thursday, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
His words followed an international donor conference in the Polish capital that raised USD 6.5 billion in humanitarian aid for his country.
Support in security and defence
The Ukrainian prime minister told reporters: “Together with [Polish] Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, we signed a letter today, a document on support in the field of security and defence.”
He described the agreement as "an extremely important document."
Shmyhal went on to say: “I can’t reveal its contents, but it’s an important step towards providing Ukraine with special technology and special support in the field of security and defence.”

He thanked Poland for hosting Thursday's donor conference. He said Ukraine was preparing for postwar recovery, as outlined by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video address during the fundraising event.
Shmyhal said that “Poland is providing unprecedented assistance to Ukraine in all possible areas.”
“I’m convinced that the Polish-Ukrainian brotherhood will last for decades,” he added.
Thursday was day 71 of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Poland on Thursday reported it had welcomed more than 3.16 million refugees fleeing Russia’s war on Ukraine.
