In its Saturday to Sunday night attack on Ukraine, Russia used 149 UAVs of various types - as well as various types of decoy drones. The shooting down of 57 was confirmed by the Ukrainian Air Force. 67 more Moscow's UAVs were neutralized as well, through electronic warfare, bringing the total number of drones downed overnight to 124. The day before - Putin's forces lost almost 150 UAVs.
The overnight Russian drone strike targeted Ukraine's Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Donetsk, Sumy and Cherkasy regions - once again violating international law by being aimed at mostly civilian targets. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) reported that as a result of this attack one person was killed and one child was injured - in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The Russians also bombed Ukraine's Kherson, where several residential buildings were destroyed, while homes, schools and medical facilities sustained damage. Moscow's troops shelled a residential area in Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region too - destroying, among other things, a car driven by an Ukrainian doctor.
Russian troops are conducting a ground offensive on Ukrainian positions near Chasiv Yar in the east of the country as well. The area around this city is currently one of the hottest points on the front - very intense fighting has been going on in this region for several days.
