Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has addressed the key question of Finland's NATO membership ahead of the meeting this Thursday of the two countries' defence ministers:

"It is important that Finland's defence minister is coming to Turkey. Because there has not yet been a statement from Finland that they have lifted the arms embargo against us. We expect such a statement from them."

Sweden has already lifted their embargo on Turkey, but Finland has yet to do so.
