The deal was announced by Aneta Oksiuta, CEO of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA), state news agency PAP reported.
Oksiuta told a news conference: “We have reached an agreement with the air-traffic controllers’ trade union (ZZKRL) on changes to pay and work rules. We have also concluded social consultation of both documents.”
She added: “We have accepted 24 demands on security in the broad sense and we are gradually implementing them.”
According to Oksiuta, the agreement is "a first step toward ensuring a stable functioning of the agency."
Oksiuta was accompanied at the news conference by Tomasz Tomala, a top aide to Infrastructure Minister Andrzej Adamczyk.
'No danger of disruption to air traffic'
Tomala said: “There is no danger of disruption to air traffic over Poland. All the aviation operations will be handled by air traffic controllers.”
He added: “The terms, which have been agreed by both sides, and by the infrastructure minister, are within the financial means of the agency.”
In late April, PANSA signed a short-term deal with air traffic controllers that was due to expire on July 10.
It came after weeks of negotiations on security arrangements, pay and conditions, according to officials.
