The reading was in line with an earlier estimate by the country's labour ministry.
It marked the lowest jobless rate in the country in 32 years, according to Family and Social Policy Minister Marlena Maląg.

There were around 818,000 people without jobs across the nation at the end of June, compared with 850,200 a month earlier, according to the Central Statistical Office.
According to the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, unemployment in Poland was a modest 2.7 percent in May, the second-lowest rate in the 27-nation European Union.
