Around 114,200 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of July, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts in the first seven months of 2024, at around 142,300 in total, was 39.8 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector fell by 1.4 percent in July in year-on-year terms, while increasing by 0.9 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Builders completed around 220,400 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 7.6 percent from 2022, Statistics Poland said earlier this year in a preliminary estimate.
