Employment down 0.5%, wages up 11.1% in Poland's enterprise sector

In August 2024, average employment in Poland's enterprise sector decreased by 0.5% compared to the previous year, while the average gross monthly wage increased by 11.1%, reaching 8,189.74 PLN (over 1,916.24 EUR).

According to data from the Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS), in August 2024, average paid employment in the enterprise sector was 0.5% lower than in August 2023, totaling 6,470.0 thousand full-time equivalent employees.

The average gross monthly wage in this sector increased nominally by 11.1% year-on-year, reaching 8,189.74 PLN (over 1,916.24 EUR).
