Meanwhile, average wages in Poland's corporate sector in December increased by 9.8 percent compared with the same month a year earlier, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
The average gross Polish monthly wage last month was PLN 8,821.25 (EUR 1,980, USD 2,170), according to the statistical office.
The figures are for companies with more than nine employees.
The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy estimated earlier this month that Poland's unemployment rate inched up to 5.1 percent in December, from 5 percent in November.
