EUR 700 million trade surplus for Poland in 2024: stats office

Poland ended last year with a foreign trade surplus of around EUR 700 million, the country’s statistics office has reported.

Poland’s exports totalled EUR 350.4 billion in 2024 as a whole, while imports were worth EUR 349.7 billion, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.

It added that Poland's exports last year decreased by 0.8 percent in euro terms compared with 2023, while imports increased by 1.9 percent year on year.

Poland’s largest export markets in 2024 were Germany, the Czech Republic and France, data showed.

Germany was also the country's largest import market, followed by China and the United States.

In 2023, Poland's foreign trade showed a surplus of around EUR 9.8 billion, following a deficit of EUR 19.8 billion in 2022according to Statistics Poland.

Poland’s exports totalled EUR 353.1 billion in 2023 as a whole, while imports were worth EUR 343.3 billion, according to figures reported by the statistics agency in July last year.
