The newspaper, referencing official statistics from Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS), said Poland’s bilateral trade surplus with Ukraine remained strong.
Ukrainian imports to Poland reached roughly 20.5 billion zlotys, about 200 million zlotys more than the previous year.
Defense sector leads growth
Among the standout export categories, military equipment surged to nearly PLN 10 billion, almost double 2023’s figure.
Other top exports included machinery and electronic devices (PLN 7.3 billion), vehicles (PLN 7.4 billion), chemical products (PLN 4.6 billion), and foodstuffs (PLN 2.4 billion).
Mineral products, primarily fuels, also maintained a robust level at around PLN 10 billion—an eightfold increase compared to the period before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
