Wages, employment up y/y in Poland in November: stats office

Average wages in Poland rose 5.3 percent in November compared with the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office said on Wednesday.

The average gross Polish monthly wage in November was PLN 5,229.44 (EUR 1,227, USD 1,367), the state-run statistics agency reported.

Meanwhile, employment in Polish companies increased 2.6 percent last month on average in year-on-year terms, according to the statistical office.

In November 2019, average paid #employment in #EnterpriseSector in #Poland amounted to 6,394.8 thous. (increase by 2.6% YoY).

The figures are for firms with more than nine employees.

The Polish economy grew 3.9 percent in the third quarter of this year, the Central Statistical Office said last month in a final estimate.
