Spending has come to almost PLN 470 million (EUR 110 million, USD 123 million) as the country steps up efforts to control the virus, Tadeusz Kościński tweeted on Tuesday.
This includes almost PLN 350 million allocated to replenish strategic reserves and PLN 100 million in additional funding for hospitals and emergency medical services, he said.
Twenty-two coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Poland.
On Tuesday evening, the Polish health ministry reported that 220 people with suspected coronavirus infection were in hospitals nationwide, with a further 1,055 quarantined and 9,366 under epidemiological supervision.
The first case of coronavirus infection was reported in Poland last week.
The new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes a disease called Covid-19, was first reported in Wuhan, China. It has now spread to 115 countries.
The most common symptoms of the illness are fever, coughing, difficulty in breathing, muscle pain and fatigue.
