Meanwhile, the minimum hourly rate would go up to PLN 18.30 (EUR 4.15, USD 4.90) effective January 1, officials said on Tuesday.
The proposed figures are still subject to consultation with the government’s social partners as part of the Council for Social Dialogue, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
The country’s minimum monthly wage rose to PLN 2,600 (EUR 590, USD 690) at the start of this year, from PLN 2,250 in 2019.
Meanwhile, the minimum hourly rate in Poland is currently set at PLN 17 (EUR 3.85, USD 4.50), up from PLN 14.70 a year earlier.
The average Polish monthly wage in June was PLN 5,286 (EUR 1,180, USD 1,349), the state-run Central Statistical Office (GUS) announced this month.
