Poland aims to boost renewable energy from biogas

Renewable energy sources in Poland currently account for a quarter of the country’s power generation, according to the Climate Ministry.

Now the country has established a partnership to boost the biogas and biomethane sector.

“We want to build a powerful economic sector dedicated to the production of biogas and biomethane to be later used to generate energy and heat that, through a district heating network, will be distributed to households, but more importantly, used in transport,” said Deputy Climate Minister Ireneusz Zyska.
