The Czech Republic boasted the lowest jobless rate in the bloc in April, at 2.4 percent, followed by Poland and Germany, each with 3 percent, according to the Eurostat agency.
Meanwhile, Spain had the highest seasonally-adjusted jobless rate in the EU, at 13.3 percent, while Greek unemployment was the second-highest at 12.7 percent, the agency's data showed.
Eurostat reported on Wednesday that the EU average for April was 6.2 percent, stable compared with March.
Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS), which uses a different methodology, reported last month that the Polish jobless rate dropped to 5.2 percent in April, from 5.4 percent in March.
