Around 127,000 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of July, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said on Monday.
It added that the number of housing starts from January to July, at around 136,000 in total, was 20.2 percent lower than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector increased by 4.2 percent in July in year-on-year terms, while falling 6.3 percent month on month, Statistics Poland also reported.
Around 235,000 new homes were built in Poland last year, 6.3 percent more than in 2020, according to the statistical office.
