The suspect was arrested by Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW), private radio broadcaster RMF FM reported.
Investigators believe the detained man fought in Syria and had ties to terrorist groups such as Jabhat al-Nusra, Al-Qaeda and the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) before coming to Poland.
The suspect has been charged with aiding international terrorist organizations and remanded in custody for three months following a court order, according to the rmf24.pl website.
He faces up to eight years in prison if found guilty of the charges.
