The University of Warsaw has announced its willingness to provide educational opportunities to Palestinian students displaced by the conflict, Polish Press Agency reported on Tuesday. A list of 26 students, provided by the Palestinian Embassy in Warsaw, is currently undergoing security verification procedures by relevant authorities.
"Our primary goal is to offer those affected by the war a chance to continue their education, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations," read a statement from UW, which remains in contact with the Palestinian Embassy, Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Internal Security Agency.
University rector Alojzy Nowak emphasized the importance of solidarity in this initiative, saying, that "enabling Palestinian students to study at the University of Warsaw is an expression of our solidarity and a contribution to building a better future based on education and mutual respect."
