The tour is scheduled to visit several major cities in Germany (including Munich and Frankfurt), but tickets are not easy to come by. In Leipzig, all seats for the Wednesday, January 15 screening are sold out, and in Berlin, the demand for the film is so high that the Thursday, January 16 screening has been moved to a larger theater.
Those who want to personally meet the 85-year-old DJ from Poland are urged to act quickly, according to the organizers at the Polish Institute in Berlin.

DJ Wika’s film tour in Germany attracts large audiences
Full of energy, Wirginia has long been well-known to Polish audiences, especially seniors and participants of the popular Third Age Universities, which encourage older adults to regularly meet with their peers and engage in communal activities.
Born in 1938, DJ Wika, who is trained as an educator and spent years helping children with disabilities and so-called "troubled youth," began encouraging seniors to have fun after retiring.
She is considered the oldest DJ in Poland, but her incredible energy, which she shares with her audience, is likely unmatched anywhere in the world.
Queen of the dancefloor
"I decided that as a senior, I wouldn't sit by the window like a pelargonium, but show that you can live differently," DJ Wika enthusiastically says in the film directed by Agnieszka Zwiefka, where she is the main protagonist.
The film has already won numerous awards in Poland, and now, during special screenings, our neighbors to the West have the opportunity to meet the energetic 85-year-old in person.

Breaking age stereotypes through the energizing power of DJ Wika
In Poland, Mrs. Wirginia is often the star of the increasingly popular intergenerational discos.
Older adults have a great time at these events, dancing alongside young people who are often the same age as their grandchildren. In doing so, they break all stereotypes about age. In this case, numbers don’t matter – what counts is the will to live, no matter what stage of life we’re in.
