Around 15,500 housing units were completed nationwide in the first month of this year, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts last month, at around 17,200, was 9.6 percent higher than in the same period a year earlier.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector increased by 4.3 percent in January in year-on-year terms, while decreasing by 58.2 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported on Thursday.
Builders completed around 199,900 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 9.6 percent from 2023, Statistics Poland said last month in a preliminary estimate.
