Remembering Poland's first Olympic champion
Halina Konopacka, Poland's first Olympic champion and the first woman ever to win an Olympic track and field medal, was born 120 years ago today.

She was also a poet, a painter - and a driver who helped evacuate gold reserves from Poland's national bank in World War II.
