Most Poles against admitting refugees, migrants: survey

Almost 55 percent of Poles oppose letting migrants and refugees into the country, a new survey has found.

Meanwhile, over 38 percent of those surveyed are in favour of taking in asylum seekers and around 7 percent are undecided, according to the study by pollster IBRIS, commissioned by private broadcaster Polsat.

At the same time, 47.4 percent of respondents supported a plan to put up a wall along the country's border with eastern neighbour Belarus amid a migrant crisis, the survey showed, as cited by state news agency PAP.

On the other hand, 43.4 percent of those polled opposed such a wall and 9.2 percent were undecided.
