Around 145,400 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of September, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said on Monday.
It added that the number of dwellings under construction, at around 837,000 as of the end of last month, was 3.2 percent higher than the year before.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector fell by 9 percent in September in year-on-year terms, while increasing by 12 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Builders completed around 220,400 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 7.6 percent from 2022, Statistics Poland said earlier this year in a preliminary estimate.
