A fire broke out on a train carrying Legia Warsaw fans traveling to a match against Lech Poznań on Sunday, November 10, around 3:00 PM.
Police believe the fire was caused by flares being thrown, but fortunately, no one was injured. Over 800 passengers were evacuated, with nine fire units responding to the scene.
According to local authorities, the fire started in a truck trailer being carried by a freight train. The train operator stopped the train for safety reasons, which also halted the nearby passenger train carrying the fans.
At the scene, various household appliances, mainly washing machines, were destroyed by the fire. The police are investigating the incident and have secured surveillance footage to help assess the damage.
