Poland's latest bronze medal was won by Zbigniew Maciejewski in the C1 time trial cycling event.

Prior to that, Polish fencers had notable successes, and Marek Dobrowolski earned Poland's first bronze medal in the R7 air rifle shooting category.

Michał Dąbrowski was defeated by Chinese fencer Yanke Feng in the finals, ultimately earning a silver medal in category B. Earlier, Dąbrowski won 15:13 against Adrian Castro in the semifinals, with Castro finishing in fourth place.

Michał Morys, the head coach of the wheelchair fencing team, described Dąbrowski’s performance as a heroic achievement given the difficult circumstances he faced in recent months.

Dąbrowski, who was diagnosed with intrahepatic bile duct cancer in November, is raising funds for an uninsured medication, with the total cost of treatment amounting to 850,000 PLN, according to polskieradio24.pl.

In the women's saber final, Kinga Dróżdż lost to China's Haiyan Gu 10:15 but was thrilled to have won the silver medal after challenging matches, including the semifinals.

Polish athletes, coaches, and other participants criticized the disorganized event at Grand Palais, which led to significant delays, including a two-and-a-half-hour delay in Castro’s semifinal match against Dąbrowski, placing a considerable burden on wheelchair users.
