After a close 0-1 loss to hosts Colombia in the group stage, Poland rallied with a commanding 5-0 win over Brazil. They then advanced with a 1-0 victory against Ecuador in the quarterfinals before facing a tense semifinal against the U.S., where they fell 1-3 in a penalty shootout.
In the bronze-medal match, both Poland and Kenya had scoring chances, but the Polish team maintained their lead, skillfully defending in the final minutes to secure the win. This historic achievement marks Poland’s first medal in Women’s Amputee Football World Cup history.
The final will see hosts Colombia take on the United States for the championship title.
