The reason for this is a breakdown in negotiations with the organizers, who changed the previously agreed conditions, confirmed Marek Goczał, father of the youngest winner in the event's history, in a statement to Polish state news agency PAP.

Despite being well-prepared, including winning the Morocco Rally, the decision to withdraw was difficult.

The family’s goal remains to claim the entire podium in future Dakar editions, with preparations for the next season starting in February.

This is how Eryk Goczał performed during the previous Dakar Rally.

The Paris-Dakar Rally started in 1978, and after being moved to South America, it has been held in Saudi Arabia since 2020.

Among the Polish winners of this event are Eryk Goczał, Rafał Sonik (in the quad category), and Dariusz Rodewald, who triumphed three times as a mechanic for a Dutch truck team.

The 2025 Dakar Rally will take place from January 3 to 17 in Saudi Arabia. The 2025 Dakar Rally will take place from January 3 to 17 in Saudi Arabia.
